Needless to say there will come a time when Polaroids can start to stack up and fill old boxes and tins, and soon you'll find your collection becoming a small pool of still images. If you're a craft-inspired person like myself, then this is the perfect project to turn those decaying 'roids into bedroom decorations.
You'll need:
1 metre old yarn (or thin rope) (you can buy these from most craft shops.
2 small nails (0.5)
2 small nails (0.5)
2B Pencil
16 wooden pegs
Basic PVA Glue
Polaroids galore (preferred colour photos but black and white goes down well too)
Step 1. Cut the yarn in two, making sure they're even. Rest against the wall with just enough of an even slack so they 'hang'.
Step 2. Mark the ends of the wall where the end rope touches with a pencil, then begin drilling (make sure to apply safety first with this, such as goggles and electrical gloves in case of wiring)
Step 3. Add a small dab of glue onto the back of each peg and press against the rope, holding for at least a minute. Let them hang and dry for a while.
Step 4. Wrap the ends of the rope around the two nails and place in the hole, checking that it looks even.
Step 5. Begin hanging your new polaroid arrangement!
I love this arrangement, because you can change it just as easily. Polaroids take on such vivid colors from dark blue to light oranges, and you can change the mood of your room simply by taking new photos and hanging them up! Plus your friends will be very impressed by its unique style. Have fun!
